Ms. Silvia Kanyi is the Alternate Director to the Attorney General on the Authority Board.
Ms. Kanyi, is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and is currently a Principal State Counsel at the Office of the Attorney General based at the Government Transactions Division. She has over 11 years’ post-admission experience to the roll of advocates in both the private and public sector. She is an experienced legal counsel and brings a wealth of expertise in governance, corporate, commercial and financial law, international business, international financial transactions, project and sovereign finance including equity, joint ventures, debt, mergers and acquisitions transactions, capital markets including debt issuances and restructuring.
She holds a Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management) and a Master of Laws (Corporate & Financial) from the University of Nairobi. She has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from Moi University School of Law and a Post- Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law.
As an alternate member representing the Hon. Attorney General in the Board of the Privatization Authority, Silvia provides strategic leadership on emerging issues of law affecting the Authority. She has also served as an alternate member representing the Attorney General in other State Corporations.
