The first ever e-traded IPO in Kenya and East Africa's largest IPO, Kenya Pipeline Company PLC opened on 19 January 2026 with 1.8 billion shares on sale at KSh 9 each.
The offer closed on 24 February 2026 having received applications for 12.49 billion shares. This represented an oversubscription of 105.7 percent, signaling strong investor confidence.
The listing positions KPC as a regional energy infrastructure company, strengthening its role in East Africa's petroleum logistics sector. The successful IPO also represents a strong vote of confidence in the Government's privatization agenda and economic reform programme.
